Why I Created the Stylish Pill Box™

(A Founder’s Story of Wellness, Design — and Never Leaving Meds Behind)

If you're here, you're probably someone who values your health — but also your style. That’s exactly what inspired me to create the Stylish Pill Box™ — the pill organiser I couldn’t find anywhere, so I decided to make it myself.

💭 The Frustration That Sparked the Idea

Like many people, I rely on daily supplements and medication. At first, I reached for what was available — a neon purple pill box from the chemist. It worked, it was functional… but it felt clinical, clunky, and uninspired.

Designed many years ago to suit its purpose, but it had no style to sit on a bedside table or slip into a handbag. It was not something I would not pull out at a restaurant when needed, it was something I'd hide under the table and discreetly use hoping no one would see me. I didn’t want to feel I had to hide my wellness habits. I wanted them to feel good. And I knew I wasn’t alone.

That frustration led to a realisation: Why can’t a pill organiser be beautiful? Why can’t it look like something from my makeup and skincare shelf, or an addition to a designer handbag - I wanted it to be something I'd be proud to use?

✏️ From Idea to Icon: Designing the Stylish Pill Box™

That question turned into the first sketch of what would become the Lucia Gray Stylish Pill Box™ — a modern, design-forward solution to an everyday need.

I envisioned something elegant, tactile, and functional:

• A ribbed finish that feels luxe and looks elevated, matching my cosmetics
• Three fashionable, sophisticated colours:
• Metallic Champagne Gold
• Metallic Wild Berry
• Matte Black (sleek, minimal, and unisex — a favourite with men)
• Secure snap lids that won’t spill in your handbag or carry-on
• Designed to sit beautifully on your vanity or blend discreetly into your lifestyle

🌿 Style Is Part of Wellness

We talk so much about routines and rituals — but what we often forget is how design affects behaviour. When something looks good, feels good, and fits into your world, you're more likely to use it.

👜 Where Function Meets Aesthetics

Some of our customers use 2 pill boxes for a AM/PM combination or they use one for every time of day — think of it like a medication management rainbow from light to dark:

• Champagne Gold for morning
• Wild Berry for midday
• Black for night

Others keep a second one just for travel — because it’s the kind of pill box you actually want to take with you.

🧑It’s Not Just for Women

While the Champagne and Berry colours are feminine and elegant, I knew the design also had to suit everyone — because wellness doesn’t belong to one gender.

That’s why the Matte Black version was designed with a minimalist, masculine edge. It's been a hit with men who want something smart and subtle, whether it's packed in a gym bag, suitcase, or desk drawer.

🧳 The Cherry on Top: It Never Gets Left Behind

There was one more detail I knew I had to include — and it became the cherry on top.

As someone with Hashimoto’s disease and now no thyroid, I must take my medication daily. Missing even one dose throws everything out of balance. And when I travel? Forgetting my pills isn’t an option.

That’s why I designed the Stylish Pill Box™ with a hidden compartment that holds an Apple AirTag. Now, even if you’re racing through airports or juggling daily life, you’ll never leave your meds behind.
